Service: Paying a Bill

The Hanover works to make paying your insurance premium easy and convenient with flexible options to meet your specific needs.

ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT)

EFT allows you to set up automatic monthly payments from your bank or checking account. You control when payment is made—pick any day of the month from the 1st to the 28th. EFT ensures you never miss a payment and can save you up to $50 in installment fees. Enrollment is simple; enroll online or complete the EFT authorization Form and fax or mail.

PAYMENT ONLINE

Are you one of the millions who transact business online? The Hanover offers you the ability to make web payments via:

  • Online Bill Pay
    Set-up funds to be drawn directly from your checking account. Simply fill out the
    new user registration to get started. Once set–up is complete, receive E-mail
    notifications when payment is due and review your bill history online.
    Make a single payment using your debit or credit card and complete an intuitive self-service payment transaction. Please note: The maximum payment amount is $10,000 per transaction.

PAYMENT BY PHONE

If you're looking to make a "just in time" payment, The Hanover's toll-free number (800.573.1187) allows you to make a payment from your credit card, debit card or checking account. Availability of this feature varies by state.

PAYMENT BY MAIL

Some of us prefer a traditional bill and to mail a check . As a reminder, when sending a payment by mail, please allow for sufficient mailing time. Service fees associated with your selected plan apply.

Finally, if you have multiple policies with us, consider setting–up an account bill. You can take advantage of any payment option and have the added convenience of one combined monthly bill with a single service fee.
