The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is the holding company for a group of insurers that includes our Property and Casualty segments, The Hanover Insurance Company and Citizens Insurance Company of America; AMGRO, Inc., a premium financing business; Opus Investment Management, Inc., an investment management service; and Life Operations, a run-off business consisting primarily of proprietary life insurance, annuity and guaranteed investment products previously issued by Allmerica’s life insurance subsidiaries.

Our Business is Property and Casualty Insurance

The Hanover offers a wide range of property and casualty products through an extensive network of independent agents.  Our Personal Lines segment markets automobile, homeowners and ancillary coverages to individuals and families. The Commercial Lines segment targets the small to mid-size business market, including commercial multiple peril, commercial automobile, workers’ compensation and other commercial coverage. We also manage a block of run-off voluntary pools business in which we have not actively participated since 1995.
