The Hanover Ready To Serve Policyholders Impacted By Southern Illinois Earthquake

HOWELL, Mich. (April 18, 2008) –The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc., a leading writer of auto, home and business insurance throughout the Midwest, today announced it is prepared to respond to claims resulting from this morning’s earthquake in Southern Illinois. With a magnitude of 5.2, the earthquake shook Illinois and other nearby states where The Hanover has policyholders, including Arkansas, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri and Tennessee.

CLAIMS REPORTING INFORMATION

The Hanover customers with earthquake coverage can submit claims by contacting their local independent agent or calling the company’s toll-free customer service line at (800) 628-0250, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Customers are advised to locate their policies, if possible, before calling their agent or the company, to expedite the claim reporting process.
