What motorcycle coverage protects
The Hanover offers coverage for traditional motorcycles, plus the following types :
- Cruisers—including choppers
- Enduro (off-road bikes approved for highway use)
- Scooters
- Sport—including supersport and sport trikes
- Touring—including traditional models
Plus, options for on-road accessories including cargo and transport trailers.
Base coverage
A Hanover motorcycle policy includes coverage for:
- Custom and chrome coverage—$1,500 including for custom plating, passenger backrests, saddle bags and more, with options up to $40K
- Passenger liability
- Protective gear—$1K included for helmets, leathers, eyewear, boots and more, with options up to $5K
- Sidecars
Coverage enhancements
- Agreed value—loss settlement that pays the agreed value or the cost to repair or replace the motorcycle
- Deductible dividends—reduces the bike's deductible annually for each year of safe riding
- Electronic equipment coverage—up to $10K
- Loan/lease (gap) coverage
- New bike replacement—replacement cost within one year of date of purchase
- Newer bike replacement guard—up to 120% AVC for one model year newer
- Original equipment & mechanical parts—ensures original replacement parts are used in a repair after a claim
- Personal effects coverage
- Roadside assistance
- Second chance accident forgiveness—the first surchargeable accident in a 36-month period is forgiven, starting Day 1
- Trip interruption
