  • Broadened Building coverage by providing coverage if not provided by other insurance for additions, alterations or repairs to buildings or structures; and materials, equipment, supplies and temporary structures, on or within 1,000 feet of the described premises, used for making additions, alterations or repairs
  • Personal Property owned for maintenance or servicing buildings or structures or its premises
  • Foundations, underground pipes, flues and drains is added
  • Business Personal Property within 500 feet of the described premises is increased to 1,000 feet
  • Labor, materials or services furnished or arranged by you on personal property of others is added
  • Physical Damage to leased buildings resulting from "theft" or attempted "theft," burglary or robbery of BPP is added
  • Tenant glass coverage is added
  • Patterns, dies and molds under contractual responsibility is added
  • Tenant sign coverage is added
  • Electronic Data Processing Equipment coverage is broadened by defining "computer equipment,” adding Extra Expense provisions and adding coverage for undamaged "hardware" or "software”
  • Fungus, Wet Rot, Dry Rot and Bacteria Limited Coverage is broadened by removing the 180-day reporting a loss time period

Three optional forms

  • Business Income And Extra Expense - Applies to the actual loss of Business Income and Extra Expense that the insured incurs during the period of restoration, as a result of direct physical loss or damage to Covered Property resulting from a Covered Cause of Loss
  • Extra Expense - Applies to the necessary Extra Expense incurred by the insured during the period of restoration, as a result of direct physical loss or damage to Covered Property resulting from a Covered Cause of Loss in order to avoid or minimize the suspension of business operations
  • Business Income Without Extra Expense - Applies to the actual loss of Business Income that the insured suffers during the period of restoration, as a result of direct physical loss or damage to Covered Property resulting from a Covered Cause of Loss

  • Coverage is broadened by amending damage to Business Personal Property from 500 feet to 1,000 feet

Our new Amended Limits of Insurance and Deductibles endorsement allows greater flexibility for making changes to limits of insurance and deductibles for the additional coverages and coverage extensions that are in the Building and Business Personal Property Coverage Form and the Hanover Specialty Industrial Property Advantage Broadening Endorsement. The endorsement allows increased limits and deductibles at all locations or only at specific locations on a per limit or deductible basis. 

Additional notable optional coverages and endorsements include:

  • Additional Insured – Building Owner – addresses the interest of a building owner when the insured is a tenant required to insure the leased building
  • Additional Property Not Covered – amends Property Not Covered, excluding specifically described property
  • Agreed Value Condition – amends the valuation of covered property to agreed value
  • Business Income And Extra Expense From Dependent And Interdependent Properties Coverage Endorsement – covers income loss and extra expenses if a business the insured relies on—like a supplier, buyer or partner—suffers property damage that disrupts the insured’s operations
  • Business Personal Property In Or On Rolling Stock Coverage Endorsement – extends Business Personal Property coverage to include damage or loss to property on rolling stock like trains or railcars within 1,000 feet of the listed location
